YIELD: 5 SERVINGS
PREP TIME: 30 MINUTES
INGREDIENTS:
1 box hal&al ready-to-cook breaded chicken bites
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
2 heaping tablespoons mayonnaise
4 tablespoons ketchup (add water to make the sauce less thick)
1/2 teaspoon habanero sauce
1/2 teaspoon sriracha sauce
1/4 teaspoon trader joe’s italian bomba hot pepper sauce
1 tablespoon honey mustard
1/2 teaspoon honey
PREPARATION:
STEP 1:
Defrost the chicken bites. Fry them for a few minutes on each side until they look crispy and golden brown.
STEP 2:
Make the sauce by melting butter in a pot and adding in ketchup, mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, chili garlic sauce, habanero sauce, honey mustard, honey, and bomba sauce.
STEP 3:
Once the sauce is mixed well and starts to bubble, add your fried chicken bites into the mixture and mix well.
STEP 4:
Prepare your sandwich with preferred condiments or toppings (such as lettuce, tomatoes, etc). I like to toast the bun with some light cheddar cheese spread out on one side, then add 3 chicken bites per sandwich.
STEP 5:
Pour any remaining sauce over your sandwich for added flavor, or store it for next time.
